What is TOKUTEI GINOU?

Tokutei Ginou, which is often referred to as TG, is a visa program issued by the Japanese government to overcome labor shortages in various sectors.

This program provides a legal pathway for foreign nationals to work in Japan with a more stable status compared to an Internship.

Two types of Tokutei Ginou Visa

Tokutei Ginou 1 ( TG 1 )

• Employment contracts can be up to 5 years

• Workers with this visa are not allowed to bring their families to Japan

Tokutei Ginou 2 ( TG 2 )

• Allowing workers to bring families to Japan (Wife/husband and children to Japan)

• Employment contracts are longer, allowing for longer periods of stay and work in Japan

Tokutei Ginou (TG) visa requirements

• Have a Skills Certification according to the field of work you are interested in

• Pass the Japanese language proficiency test

• Fulfill other requirements set by the Japanese Government
